The motto of Lockhart ISD is "100 percent success- Every Child - Every Time!" The responsibility of the seven-member Lockhart ISD Board of Trustees is to accomplish the district goals by establishing policy, approving school budgets, setting tax rates and employing the Superintendent .  

Trustees are elected to a 3-year terms, with three trustees are elected at large, and four trustees are elected from single-member districts. Board meetings are open to the public. For information about board members, visit the Meet the Board webpage.
